Must-go: Festival des Métiers by Hermès at De Hollandsche Manege
We loveeeeeeeee Hermès and we couldn´t be happier to receive the announcement that Hermès Benelux is organizing an exhibition about the oh so important Hermès craftsmanship. The event is called Festival des Métiers and it will take place from the 1st of April until the 10th of April at De Hollandsche Manege in Amsterdam. The craftsmen will work during 10 days from this temporary office and you can come to check out how they do this fabulous job.
The exhibition gives a fascinating insight in the traditions and values of Hermès and we love the interaction because you can actually meet these craftsmen and ask them questions. They will show you how they make the famous silk scarf but also how they make the -to die for- handbags and horse riding accessories such as saddles.
The reason Hermès chose for De Hollandsche Manage is because back in 1837 when Hermès was founded they crafted horse riding accessories. So a horse riding school fits the heritage story of this exhibition.
Admission is free of charge so come come come!
