Recipe: Make your own chocolate eggs this Easter

Happy Easter! Are you having a family lunch? What could be more fun than surprising everyone with homemade chocolate eggs made by your little ones. No idea how to make them? No problem, we provide you with an easy recipe. Get in the kitchen with the kids and let them decorate their own. In this way it will be a cute surprise for the grandma’s and grandpa’s. Enjoy your quality time!

800 grams of milk or dark chocolate, templates for chocolate eggs, cooking thermometer, spatula, a sharp knife, some desired decoration.

Melt the chocolate in a boiler or in the microwave. Once the chocolate has melted, you must slowly cool it while stirring. Pour the tempered chocolate into the molds and remove the excess chocolate. Place the molds in the refrigerator until they are completely cured. Spread a second layer when the first one is cured. You can make them as thick as you like. Once you’ve made the final layer you put the form upside down on paper towels. Sprinkle it with any kind of decoration you like, such as chocolate bits, colorful sprinkles or sugar. Cool the last layer in the refrigerator until the chocolate isn’t glowing anymore. Now remove the chocolate eggs from the molds and enjoy your homemade treat!
