Hotspot: De Plantage in Amsterdam
No idea where to hang out with the kids this weekend? That’s why we are highlighting another hotspot. De Plantage is located at Artis, one of our favorite places in town. This spot ensures that you can enjoy some food while your children are watching the flamingos. Doesn’t sound too bad, right?
De Plantage is open from breakfast to dinner. Throughout the day you can enjoy different breakfast- and lunch dishes, such as, yoghurt, eggs, different kind of tartines and salads. There isn’t a separate kids menu unfortunately. However, they offer chicken with fries for dinner and a snack menu full of kids-proof snacks. Besides that, the dishes can be adjusted in terms of size if your little one wants to choose from the regular menu. Your child must be able to sit on a regular chair, because children’s chairs aren’t present unfortunately.
Going by car isn’t a problem at this spot. You can easily park at the Artis on-site parking at a reduced rate. You’ll obviously don’t need to buy a ticket if you are just visiting the restaurant. Whenever you are planning on visiting the zoo afterwards this isn’t applying of course.
If you haven’t been to this spot yet, it’s definitely worth trying. Combine your visit with a zoo visit with the kids whenever this is possible. De Plantage is open from 9:00 to 1:00 during the week and from 10:00 to 1:00 in the weekend. Walk in whenever you have time and believe us, you won’t regret your visit.
