Hotspot: Foodhallen in Amsterdam-West
It’s March already. For that reason, we assumed that the weather would be slightly better by now. Unfortunately there is still a lot of rain expected for the coming days. Are you done with sitting at home with the kids and do you want to go outside for something fun with the family? Then the food halls in Amsterdam are the place to be. The kids can walk around while you are enjoying the most delicious food from different corners. Best of all? The halls are indoor, so no worries about the rain.
The concept is inspired by indoor food markets in other city’s, such as the Torvehallerne Copenhagen, Mercado de San Miguel in Madrid and the Borough Market in London. This concept is indispensable in a ‘big city life’ for locals and tourists. It’s the perfect place to walk around, have a coffee and enjoy different kind of dishes.
The halls are easy to reach. There are several trams that are stopping nearby, but there is also a possibility to park in the garage under the building. Do you prefer to go by bike? You can park your bike in the bicycle storage underneath the library. It won’t get easier than this. Pull out the raincoats and get outside for a cozy afternoon at this kids-proof place!
